Classes & Booking
Is the first class really free?

Yes. Your first yoga class is completely free, so you can try a class and see if it’s right for you before committing to anything. Classes do get full, so it’s best to book your free trial in advance.

Do I need any experience to join?

Not at all. Weekly classes are a mix of students with varying levels of experience, from complete beginners to more experienced yogis. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own level and take the options that feel right in their body.

How do I book a class?

You can book by emailing info@yogaevy.com, messaging on WhatsApp, or using the contact form on this website. Let me know your name and phone number and which class you’d like to try.

What days and times do you teach?

Sunday 10.00am–11.00am, Tuesday 6.30pm–7.30pm, and Friday 9.00am–10.00am online. Full details are on the Class Schedule page.

How big are the classes?

Classes are kept small and personal, with a maximum of 6 mat spaces, so everyone gets proper attention and guidance.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Your first term is offered as pay as you go, so you can trial classes before committing. After that, terms are pre-booked and paid for in advance. Because spaces are limited, bookings are non refundable and non transferable.

Pricing
How much do classes cost?

Weekly classes are pay as you go at £14 per class, with your very first class free.

How much do workshops cost?

Tailored workshops, such as Candlelit Restorative Yoga and the Sound Bowls evening, are £35 per person. See the Workshops page for upcoming dates.

How much are 1:2:1 or private sessions?

A 1:2:1 session is £35, and a private group session for up to 4 students is £50. Sessions run for 75 minutes. See Private / 1:2:1 Sessions for more.

What To Expect
What should I bring?

Just yourself! Props such as bricks, blocks, blankets, bolsters and belts are provided so you’re supported and comfortable throughout. For evening workshops, comfortable warm clothes with layers are recommended.

Where are classes held?

Classes take place at a small, private studio in New Barnet, Herts (EN4). It’s softly lit, warm and cosy, and surrounded by a mature garden, with free parking available.

Do you offer online classes?

Yes. The Friday 9.00am–10.00am class is held live online, so you can practise from home as part of a friendly online yoga community.

I have an injury or health condition, can I still join?

Often, yes. Please let me know beforehand so a class or pose can be adapted for you where needed. If you’d prefer more individual guidance while managing an injury or condition, a 1:2:1 session can be a great starting point, and may be recommended alongside advice from a physiotherapist.

I’m nervous about joining a group class, what are my options?

That’s completely normal, and you’re not alone. Many students start out feeling unfit, out of shape or a little anxious. If you’d rather ease in gently, a 1:2:1 session lets you begin at your own pace with the chance to ask questions, before joining a group class if and when you feel ready.

Workshops, Retreats & About Evy
What’s the difference between a class, a workshop and a retreat?

Weekly classes are ongoing sessions you can drop into regularly. Workshops are speciality one-off sessions, like Candlelit Restorative Yoga or the Sound Bowls evening, with a set theme and learning objective. Retreats are longer seasonal events, from a few hours to a full day, bringing the community together around a particular theme and energy. I run four seasonal retreats a year.

What are your qualifications?

I’m a fully qualified yoga teacher recognised by the British Wheel of Yoga, a Recognised Menopause Yoga Teacher, and accredited with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 200 teacher. I’ve been practising yoga myself for over 25 years.

How do I find out about upcoming workshops and retreats?

Keep an eye on the Workshops page, sign up to the mailing list on the homepage, or get in touch directly and I’ll let you know when the next one is announced.

Still Have A Question?
