I am a fully qualified yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga. I teach yoga in a small group setting at a beautiful studio in New Barnet. I believe Yoga keeps you in good health and prepares you for the aging process. My journey practicing yoga has supported me over the last 25 years, starting in gyms then through pregnancy and more recently during the menopause. My aim is to share my knowledge and experience of yoga and it's philosophy as yoga can enrich as well as simplify life.
I teach various principles of yoga, some of which are to move your body slowly and deliberately into different poses that challenge your strength and flexibility, while at the same time focusing on breath awareness. I encourage you to find meaning in your practice. To:

Each time you approach the mat you arrive with a different energy & mindset and with this in mind every class is unique.
I offer tailored workshops throughout the year. The workshops are a way to include discussion and theory in addition to physical practice. They are speciality classes with a set learning objective.
A retreat is the best of both worlds, it's uplifting, a joining with other like minded yogis for what could be a few hours to a full day. I run four seasonal retreats a year each with their own theme & energy.
I attended my first yoga retreat with Evy in December 2023. It was amazing. My body felt renewed and energised. We started with breathing and relaxing exercises and moved onto our yoga positions. Honestly I did not think I would be able to get into them or be comfortable, however, it felt so easy and my body just moulded into the moves. Absolutely loved the Tibeten bowls. I was so relaxed my mind and body were completely at one. Felt amazing after and would love to do it again. Thank you Evy for a wonderful experience.
Evy is a down to earth, warm and welcoming yoga teacher, explains in great simplicity the poses. When there are challenging poses she will highlight different options to suit different people's abilities. At the end of each class I always feel lifted in spirit. I recommend this class to anyone.
